January 15 - The first week was slow due to the weather. Scaffolding started to go up and the painters have arrived. They took down the paneling from behind the Holy Family and St. Paul statues. Interestingly, the stenciling from the previous era was still behind the paneling. However there was a lot of damage due to the glue that was used.

January 22 - Scaffolding continued to go up. Had a mock up of the paint colors in one section. It will be a dramatic change! There are some nice unexpected details that will happen at no additional cost. Trim color is still being decided. Wiring conduit was installed. It looks a lot better, but some aesthetics have to changed. The paneling from the exterior walls of the cry room and sacristy/confessional, as well as by the men's bathroom, has been removed and a base layer for texture has been applied.

January 29 - Scaffolding was completed. It is amazing to see the work that was put into that process. The ornamental organ pipes have been taken down and stored. The church has continued to get prepped for the next week when a lot of dirty work will begin.
