Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is an active member of the parish in good standing with the church. In a reverent manner assists the Presider with distribution of Precious Body & Blood of Christ. A EMHC should be knowledgeable of how reception of Holy Communion is given and also care of the sacred vessels.

Lector

To proclaim the Good News is truly a joy and a gift shared by the entire parish family. Lector Ministers are fully trained before ever being asked to serve. For the training contact Elaine Stone.

Ministers of the Sick

To provide compassionate and caring visitation of the sick and shut-ins of the parish through regular visits. The minister will gain new skills and knowledge, meet new people, experience new challenges, have the opportunity to help others and use their talents and spirituality in serving the Lord. The minister should be able to listen to the concerns of others without judging. Visit those assigned on a regular basis.

Musician & Song leader

Preferably the musician and song leader(s) are active members of the parish, so that they are able to fulfill their role more effectively. Their role is to enhance and not dominate the Liturgy just getting the congregation to participate.

Altar Server

One of the best ways any youth can actively participate in the life of the Church is as an Altar Server. Serving at the altar is not only a great privilege; it is also the source of great blessings. We strongly believe that it is a great honor to be an Altar Server and we enthusiastically urge you to encourage your sons and daughters to become involved in this very important ministry. Altar Servers should have received their first Eucharist and regularly participate in Mass. They are trained to assist at Mass and other Liturgical Celebrations as needed.
